GD CONVENTION
GD 컨벤션은 경기도 안산시에 위치한 복합 웨딩·연회 공간으로, 웨딩홀, 로비, 연회장(뷔페), 프라이빗 홀 등 다양한 공간이 조화를 이루도록 설계된 프로젝트입니다. 이 프로젝트는 단순한 공간의 기능을 넘어서, 방문객들에게 ‘경험의 감도’를 높이는 공간을 목표로 디자인되었습니다.
천장 구조물과 벽체, 바닥 마감재에 이르기까지 선과 면, 덩어리의 조형미를 극대화하고, 목재와 대리석, 금속 등의 자연적이고 견고한 소재를 활용하여 고급스러운 분위기를 연출했습니다. 공간별로 각기 다른 콘셉트가 적용되어, 모던하면서도 감각적인 디테일이 돋보이며, 특히 조명의 레이어링을 통해 공간의 깊이와 고요한 품격을 부여했습니다.
웨딩홀은 클래식하면서도 웅장한 무드를 담아내며, 로비는 밝고 품위 있는 분위기로 예식을 기다리는 시간도 특별한 경험이 되도록 설계했습니다. 연회장은 대규모 수용이 가능하면서도 따뜻한 톤과 정돈된 테이블 배열로 아늑함을 유지하고, 프라이빗 홀은 전통미와 현대적인 감성이 공존하는 미니멀한 미감이 인상적입니다.
GD 컨벤션은 안산 지역의 랜드마크가 되길 바라는 마음으로, ‘기억에 남는 공간’을 목표로 완성된 프로젝트입니다.
Located in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, GD Convention is a multi-purpose event and wedding venue that encompasses various spaces such as a wedding hall, lobby, banquet buffet, and private traditional rooms. This project was designed with the intention of providing more than just functional spaces—it seeks to elevate each visitor’s experience into a memorable journey.
The design emphasizes the sculptural beauty of lines, forms, and volumes through structured ceiling grids, layered finishes, and bold materiality. Natural materials like wood, stone, and metal were harmoniously combined to create a refined yet enduring atmosphere. Each space features a unique concept, with lighting playing a crucial role in highlighting spatial depth and quiet elegance.
The main wedding hall evokes a sense of grandeur with classic motifs, while the lobby offers a bright and serene ambiance that turns the waiting time into a refined experience. The banquet hall accommodates large groups while maintaining intimacy through soft tones and meticulous table arrangements. The private room draws from traditional Korean aesthetics, delivering a contemporary yet culturally nuanced environment.
GD Convention was envisioned as a future landmark of the Ansan area—an architectural statement that offers not just a place, but a lasting memory.
